Festival of Joy

Image
Relief blew in with the warm breeze and setting sun from Mumbai's sweltering heat. This somehow reflected the joy  and peace that emanated this holy ground as nearly eight hundred believers from around Mumbai, gathered together in praise, dance and worship. What a relief from the engulfing darkness that embraces this people and land in bondage to gods of gold, silver and metal hammered by man and rejoiced over by the prince of  darkness who's only aim is to kill, steal, and destroy. You loved us so much that you gave us your only Son that we might be free , there seemed to be a shift in the atmosphere as the believers sang of the love of their Saviour! Curios spectators questioned if they should join in with the festive joy they saw and perhaps felt. And indeed many did! Two "5+1", transgender prostitutes that form a dangerous gang around India and feared by locals, joined in with the singing and dancing! Pastor Deva preaching Following worship, there was...

Glorious India

Lighthouse Children Home (all these children come from the Kanjar community, read about these villages below) Rickshaw 4:00 AM Gorakpur, India, Michael and I made our way across the muddy street. Drizzling rain fell. Hundreds of bicycle rickshaw's --> lined the train station parking lot. Inside each rickshaw was a man bundled with knees to their  chest in a thin blanket. Quietly he began to sing out some Hindi worship. What peace!!! What  joy!  What presence I felt. Soon a few men joined us (see video below). They were drawn to the music. During the next few hours curious ...

Dhaulagiri Retreat February 2-6th Samuel Lama, our organizer asked three men, “where did you guys come from?” “Very far” the men replied. “How far?” Samuel asked. “We walked two days, by foot to attend this youth camp.” This was one of many young men and women who came to learn and enjoy the fellowship. The 5th Dhaulagiri camp is organized by GMP (Global Missions Partnership) once a year to enflame their passion for gospel. There were nearly 150 young adults. I was privileged to lead a worship team and a workshop on worship. This time Holly was also with me. She shared on The Father’s Heart of Love and challenged the youth to be “world changers and history makers”. One testimony: The theme of this camp was “ I am Loved” –John 3:16 As we were in the closing ceremony, a young guy came on the stage. I was thinking, what is this guy doing on the stage? To my surprise he went to the mic and started to speak. Overwhelmed with how God touch...
