17 believers, including the senior pastor, died from Vision Salvation Church (see picture below). Michael's good friend's brother-in-law is the pastor's son who is now taking responsibility with other leaders of this church. HRC (Michael's band) was able to encourage these believers through worship and a message.  The believers were worshiping on the 4th floor when their building collapsed in the earthquake, killing 17 members. We were standing in this crowd and came running from where the smoke is coming as buildings were collapsing. The ground continued  shaking for  what seemed like  a very long time.  Here is a video we took just after the earthquake. This earthquake was by far the scariest earthquake for us, as we were in downtown, Kathmandu, in a not so safe place. We had about two bites of our lunch when the earthquake came... all I happened to bring was the fork in my hand...we both left our iphone's on the table and my purse on the chair. It shook for a very long time. Thank the Lord we are fine. And we managed to get our iphones and purse back...everyone is too frightened to steal. All these girls homes were destroyed  Thank you for all your prayers and support A quick update.  Michael and I have been able to partner with our friends, family and church to bring relief to villages and people who's lives have been turned upside down with this earthquake. Tomorrow morning we are leaving with a team for Ghorka, the center where the earthquake hit and near Michael's childhood village. Relief blew in with the warm breeze and setting sun from Mumbai's sweltering heat. This somehow reflected the joy  and peace that emanated this holy ground as nearly eight hundred believers from around Mumbai, gathered together in praise, dance and worship. What a relief from the engulfing darkness that embraces this people and land in bondage to gods of gold, silver and metal hammered by man and rejoiced over by the prince of  darkness who's only aim is to kill, steal, and destroy. You loved us so much that you gave us your only Son that we might be free , there seemed to be a shift in the atmosphere as the believers sang of the love of their Saviour! Lighthouse Children Home (all these children come from the Kanjar community, read about these villages below) Rickshaw 4:00 AM Gorakpur, India, Michael and I made our way across the muddy street. Drizzling rain fell. Hundreds of bicycle rickshaw's --> lined the train station parking lot. Inside each rickshaw was a man bundled with knees to their  chest in a thin blanket. Heartbreaking to see these men live like this! Their bed consists of a three by two foot bench. With no little trouble we found our train that was to take us to Varanasi. Sitting on our blue bench, Michael pulled his small travel guitar out and began to play. I saw a rat crawl just behind him. Because of the extreme conditions, I didn't even mention there was a rat.
