Reading Numbers 22-24 about Balaam blessing Israel. He built 7 altars of sacrifices to see if God would meet with him. (Numbers 23:3-4)Though Balaam was a man of divination who had intentions to curse Israel, he understood- to meet with the spiritual realm one must offer sacrifice. Worship is sacrifice - we worship God by offering sacrifices so we can meet with Him. How do we worship? We are called to be a holy people...that we might declare His praises! After 6 weeks of travel we are back to Nepal! We had a wonderful time seeing friends and family. We are thankful we could share with 10 different small groups, churches, and mission gatherings about our ministry! Conversations with God...Do you ever feel like God is speaking to you? Through His Word? Through His Spirit that lives in you? Through life's circumstances? I recently felt like God spoke to me...and I want to encourage and challenge you as well, to be STEADFAST... Up to this point, you have not been steadfast in many areas of your life...today you prayed for 'grace to prosper'- steadfastness is key. You have failed to pray for a stranger a day because you lack steadfastness. I am perfecting this in you. Steadfastness is a discipline...a choice, a test of the will. You must look for opportunities to pray for people and step out in faith and boldness. Paul said to be unashamed of My gospel for it is the power of God (Romans 1:16) -Perfect this faith- meditate on this truth! My power is made perfect in weakness. Today is Pentecost! Acts 2 "When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place.  ... All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit " Last week I had the opportunity to teach on Acts 19 where Paul met a group of believers and as he observed them he  noticed something was missing in their lives...he asked them, "Did you received the Holy Spirit when you believed?". They had not even heard about the Holy Spirit. So Paul laid his hands on them and prayed for them to receive the Holy Spirit.  My prayer for the church today is that God will pour out His Spirit afresh on the church. That we will be able to ]manifest for Him and walk in great Power to be a mighty Witness!
