LIGHT 2 the WORLD

Greetings from Nepal.  I hope you had a blessed Christmas .   What's Happening in Nepal Nepal is a country where people worship 33 million gods. It is even said that there are more idols in the capitol of Kathmandu than their are people. When an individual comes to Christ, he/she needs training to shift their understanding from idol worship to worship of the living God. It is a long process. My uncle said it took him "nearly 10 years to understand that the Bible was more than a book of magic."  When it comes to worship leaders in a church nearly anyone can have the title "Worship Leader" just because he/she knows how to play the guitar and sing. So many churches are functioning with worship leaders who do not have a proper knowledge and right relationship with God, and thus worship is not as effective as it could be. It is our desire to facilitate trainings to empower the worship leaders first to live an intimate life of worship and then to lead...

Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem ... wise men from the East came to Jerusalem,  2  saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him. ”   Matthew 2:1-2 It's interesting to look at how God chose to bring His Son into the world...He chose a young unknown girl, Mary to bear His child...He was not born in a palace, but a stable surrounded by animals (as I think about how I want to bring my baby into the world, a stable sounds frightening). AND He announced the birth of His son, not to the important people of that time but to a few shepherds who were low class citizens, yet somehow three wise men figured out what was going on and they travelled hundreds of miles to seek out the King of kings to worship Him and bring Him gifts. God's ways are so much higher than ours, yet He reveals it to those who are seeking, He chooses the weak things to shame the strong, the foolish things to shame the ...
