A LIFE touched

The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, because the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. Isaiah 61:1

The electricity was off so it was even darker than normal as Michael walked me down the dirt road to my hotel. A drunken man wobbled ahead of us and tumbled over in the middle of the street.  A car swerved by. Michael and I knew we could not leave him to be hit by a car. Carefully, Michael helped the elderly man up. He could barely walk. Speaking in Nepali, Krishna, told Michael he was trying to get to a Hindu temple down the street where he could sleep. He had no home and no family as his wife passed away nine years ago. As we talked to Krishna, we found that he was not as drunk as we thought, but rather, his knees were injured so he could not walk. When we arrived at the temple, Michael shared the gospel and we prayed in Jesus Name for Krishna’s knees to be healed. After our prayer, Michael asked Krishna to walk around and see how he felt. To his surprise and ours, Krishna walked and walked and proclaimed that he was healed! Michael gave Krishna his phone number and a gospel track. The next day he called Michael and was still excited about how Jesus had healed his knees. He wanted to meet again. Krishna has now been coming to church. He is one of thousands who live on the streets of Kathmandu. Many have never even heard the name of Jesus. Michael and I feel called to evangelize and disciple all the Lord brings our way.

Please pray the Lord sends us out into His harvest field. The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. May we be worthy of this holy calling to live out the love of Christ.
