Making the most of WAITING . . .

Gorkha Update 1
June 18th

Michael and I are in Gorkha, his home village (5 hours from Kathmandu). We are trying to get court married under the Nepali government, but it has been difficult to work with the officials. We have already been here in Gorkha four days and not much work has been accomplished. We are learning to rejoice in all our circumstances, pray for & love those who mistreat us.

We have been striving to make the most of our time while waiting . . .
We have been able to share the gospel with many people who have never heard about Jesus. Yesterday we talkedwith two woman monks. One monk was so interested in the gospel she was nearly moved to tears. Pray for Sonam.

Michael was invited to lead a worship workshop for one village church worship team. They were so hungry to learn more about leading worship they stayed for nearly 2 hours to learn by candle-light.

It is harvest time here in the village. Michael's aunt and uncle are harvesting rice. They hired about ten helpers. Michael and I were also able to share the gospel with them.

Yesterday we bathed & washed our cloths in the river.
Gorkha Update 2
June 22nd

After 8 days Michael and I have finally finished our government papers and are officially married under Nepali government! Praise The Lord!!

These past days The Lord has opened so many doors to share the Gospel and bless those we meet. In the picture below, Deema --> was also in the process of getting her marriage certificate. The Lord opened the door to share the gospel and she prayed to Jesus to take away her sins and give her new life. Pray the Lord truly opens her heart to repent and BELIEVE.

It is harvest time here in Nepal. Yesterday Michael and I walked for a few hours through the fields. It is interesting to see how hard the people work to harvest their rice. They need to hire helpers because the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. It reminds me of Matthew 9:37-38 and how Jesus encourages us to ask The Lord of the harvest to send workers into the fields. There is much work to do here not only in the fields but in Gods kingdom, pray that God sends Michael & I out to the plentiful harvest!

The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you!

Michael & Holly
