We have been encouraged, challenged and blessed by the promises of Isaiah 58 this week:

“Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen:
to loose the chains of injustice
and untie the cords of the yoke

to set the oppressed free
and break every yoke?

Is it not to share your food with the hungry
and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter

when you see the naked, to clothe them
and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?

Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.

I pray we can all meditate and pray how we can be used by God to loose the chains of injustice, set the oppressed free,  share our food with the hungry, clothe the naked and provide shelter for the poor. There is power in JESUS name. I pray that each of us can be used this week to impact the world around us. Be BOLD.

What's going on in AMERICA

We have been enjoying our time visiting many friends and family in California.

We just arrived back from USCIS office this morning to check on Michael's citizenship process. It seems he will be called in for his citizenship test by the end of this month or sometime in September which means we will probably be back in Nepal sometime in October!

Enjoying time with Family. Shiyrah's 1st
Birthday is Friday, August 4th!

Sharing with friends and family about L2W

What's going on in Nepal

Pastor Bir Bhadhur Tamang became a believer at the young age of 13 years after seeing his mother healed of sickness. Soon after, he and his whole family experienced persecution, so they fled to another village, Gorkha, where Bir and his father have planted many churches for the past 30 years.

Now the Lord is leading him to train new believers in remote villages who otherwise would not receive discipleship training.

“My mission and vision is to save souls” Pastor Nischal shares. “In 2012, I received the vision of our ministry to reach the unreached, preach the Gospel, make disciples and send them to the further unreached. Simply, our vision is to establish churches in every village of Nepal and even beyond our borders to Bhutan, Tibet, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.”

Children at Rob and Sarah's home

Rob and Sarah (real names withheld for safety) live in Dhaka, Bangladesh amongst the Bihari refugees who were left there after Bangladesh gained independence from Pakistan. Their ministry has been to minister to the Bihari children who live in the refugee slums. They teach bible lessons and provide food and other necessities to these children who live in a home with one small room and their family of often 15. Some of these children are forced to survive on their own on the streets, stealing food and being forced to become “grown-ups” when they are barely old enough to attend school. We were told heartbreaking stories of neglect, abuse, disease, and broken families.
Twelve years ago God told Rob and Sarah to start a children’s home to care for Bihari children from the slum. For the past four years L2W has helped their vision to become reality as they have taken in six Bihari boys. The live's of these precious boys have been changed as they have received a loving family, education and experience the Father's heart.
If you feel the Lord burdening your heart to support this dream and these children make a donation today. $30, $60 or $90 a month will help support food, clothing and education for one child. Click HERE
