Back to Nepal

We welcomed baby Jeshuah January 28, 2020 at 1:36 AM. He is a big boy
weighing, 9 lbs 2oz. He is such a joy and a very happy baby. 
I love how 1 Corinthians 2:7 (ESV) talks about a secret and hidden wisdom, not worldly wisdom but wisdom that comes from the Spirit. James 1:5 says, "If anyone lacks wisdom let him ask God who gives generously to ALL." 

My prayer for each of you is that you will pursue this secret and hidden wisdom that will make your life count for His Kingdom! 

Look what verse 9 says about this wisdom that the Spirit has revealed:

But, as it is written,
“What no eye has seen, nor ear heard,
    nor the heart of man imagined,
what God has prepared for those who love him”—
10 these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. (1 Cor. 2:9-10)
This is imparted not by worldly wisdom but by the Spirit!

We are headed back to Nepal after being in America for almost 4 months...

The view out my hospital window I feel gives a picture of
how our time in America has been. Very blessed and
beautiful as God has done more than we could have
asked, and taught us many new things. 

What have we accomplished?

  • Developed and researched discipleship curriculum for the trainings we do in Nepal and discipleship school we plan to open spring of 2021. 
  • Attended Bible classes at Bethel Church
  • Visited current supporters- we traveled up and down the West Coast from Oregon to LA visiting family and friends
  • Built up ministry support-Shared in small group setting and by phone calls.
  • We welcomed baby Jeshuah January 28, 2020.  

Ministry Goals for March 2020-December 2020

Worship Ministry
  • 1 Discipleship Training every month
  • Start Wednesday night bible study for young adults
  • As Worship Pastor of Binay Church- Michael is mentoring and training the worship team.
  • Prepare and plan for Worship Discipleship School- Planning to open March 2021
  • Write and record 3 new worship songs- personal and with Binay worship team
  • Participate in special church programs and conferences- Youth conference, Pastoral, Worship Events, Easter, and Christmas Programs. 

Children's Ministry 
  • Visit 4 children's home's in Nepal on a monthly basis- L2W staff and partners
  • Minister to the children through Bible stories and worship
  • Staff and partners will visit India Children's home February and this Summer
  • Hold training for house parents. 
  • Welcome mission teams and sponsors to visit the homes

Pastoral Goals
  • Connect with villagers to potentially plant a church
  • Visit and pray with believers
  • Discipleship training for new believers

Family Goals
  • Michael will finish his Masters in Divinity exams
  • Holly will work on learning Nepali
  • Shiyrah will continue pre school

Pray

  • Safe travels back to Nepal Feb. 20th! Health and ease traveling with 3 small children - from door to door it will be nearly 40 hours since we have to travel by car to fly out of San Fransisco- Turkey- Kathmandu

Earthquake Update

All these girls homes were destroyed  Thank you for all your prayers and support A quick update.  Michael and I have been able to partner with our friends, family and church to bring relief to villages and people who's lives have been turned upside down with this earthquake. Tomorrow morning we are leaving with a team for Ghorka, the center where the earthquake hit and near Michael's childhood village. We will be a part of a team bringing much needed supplies, food, and shelter to people in need.  Please keep us in your prayers, that we release God's love and hope to these people. Uganda

Rudra, our new brother in Christ! It was my first time to Africa.   I was excited to see what God had for us. Before our journey began, we met a Nepali man --> at the airport who was going to Qatar for work.  He looked very normal and gentle-spirited. We began to talk. He was very surprised and happy to find out that my wife was a foreigner. Our conversation went deep and we opened our hearts and thoughts about faith. I shared God’s love and after nearly 45 minutes I asked him, if he’d like to invite Jesus into his life. And he said YES! The story doesn't stop here.   God was taking us on a journey to release His presence and share His goodness in different places from the… Border of Uganda and Congo… Worship before evangelism Praying with this Muslim lady to accept Jesus.
