Hallelujah News

May 2, 2014 is finally here...the long awaited day for Michael's US visa appointment.  We have been hoping and praying Michael could come to America so he could meet my extended family and friends. We were planning to have an American wedding reception in California after our Nepal wedding. Michael had told me regardless of whether he was accepted or rejected to go to America, it would be hallelujah news. 

 I just arrived late last night after literally packing up all my belongings to move half way around the world to marry Michael Tamang and start a new life here in Nepal with him ministering to people here. 

 Michael called me around 11:00 AM this morning and said he had been rejected an American visa. Regardless we choose to say hallelujah. We are confident that the Lord's will is done. We both have so much peace & joy even with this news. Gods ways are so much higher than ours and He must have a different but wonderful plan for summer 2014.

Today we also went to the American embassy where I had to swear with my right hand lifted before a US embassy administrator that I was single and have no previous marriage. I received a document so Michael and I can move forward with our Nepali marriage certificate.

All these girls homes were destroyed  Thank you for all your prayers and support A quick update.  Michael and I have been able to partner with our friends, family and church to bring relief to villages and people who's lives have been turned upside down with this earthquake. Tomorrow morning we are leaving with a team for Ghorka, the center where the earthquake hit and near Michael's childhood village. We will be a part of a team bringing much needed supplies, food, and shelter to people in need.  Please keep us in your prayers, that we release God's love and hope to these people. Uganda

Rudra, our new brother in Christ! It was my first time to Africa.   I was excited to see what God had for us. Before our journey began, we met a Nepali man --> at the airport who was going to Qatar for work.  He looked very normal and gentle-spirited. We began to talk. He was very surprised and happy to find out that my wife was a foreigner. Our conversation went deep and we opened our hearts and thoughts about faith. I shared God’s love and after nearly 45 minutes I asked him, if he’d like to invite Jesus into his life. And he said YES! The story doesn't stop here.   God was taking us on a journey to release His presence and share His goodness in different places from the… Border of Uganda and Congo… Worship before evangelism Praying with this Muslim lady to accept Jesus.
