Storming the Gates of Hell

Hundreds of bodies are cremated every day.
The smoke from the dead bodies arose. I quickly covered my face because of the smell. Death loomed in the air. Idols surrounded us at every turn. Sadhu men walked by half naked, with faces painted & trident in hand. I can only imagine the gate of hell to be such a place...Pashu Patti temple dedicated to shiva, the Hindu god, of death and destruction. Hundreds of people are cremated here at the rivers edge. My stomach rolled, "Why was I here", I asked myself. I have been praying God would anoint me to tread upon serpents in Jesus name. And this place was flooded with carvings of serpents!

 Candice & Leslie came from America to visit Nepal for just 3 short days. Shayna (my American friend, soon to be-relative as she is marrying Michael's cousin), Sanjoo & I had come to pierce this darkness with the light and love of Christ.

As we started to talk to people and share the best news in the whole world, I began to feel Gods presence in a powerful way.

Shayna, Candice & Leslie met Subass, a young man of 25 years. They shared about the peace and satisfaction that is found only in Jesus. He wanted this peace!! As the four of them held hands and prayed Subass shared how he felt a strange presence and energy coming from their hands!! "This is the presence of Jesus!" I excitedly told him.

The next day Michael & I met with Subass as he hungrily asked more about Jesus. He said he often hears voices in his head & struggles with many insecurities. We shared that in Christ he can find security, hope and peace. At the end of our long talk, Subass gave us his ring with a Hindu god. "I want to follow only Jesus!" He said.

 Please pray for Subass' new faith in Christ. Pray he listens to Jesus and not the evil voices that have been lying to him. Pray for understanding as he begins to read through the gospel of Mark. Pray he continues to go to come to church.

Let's declare: Subass will be a living testimony of the resurrection power found in Christ Jesus our Lord!

“And He (Jesus) said to them, ‘I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.’” Luke 10:18-19
Jesus has taken the keys of death and hades. In Him we have victory over the darkest darkness! Let's take the authority we have in Christ to tread upon the spiritual serpents and declare the resurrection life we have in Christ!!

All these girls homes were destroyed  Thank you for all your prayers and support A quick update.  Michael and I have been able to partner with our friends, family and church to bring relief to villages and people who's lives have been turned upside down with this earthquake. Tomorrow morning we are leaving with a team for Ghorka, the center where the earthquake hit and near Michael's childhood village. Uganda

Rudra, our new brother in Christ! It was my first time to Africa.   I was excited to see what God had for us. Before our journey began, we met a Nepali man --> at the airport who was going to Qatar for work.  He looked very normal and gentle-spirited. We began to talk. He was very surprised and happy to find out that my wife was a foreigner. Our conversation went deep and we opened our hearts and thoughts about faith. I shared God’s love and after nearly 45 minutes I asked him, if he’d like to invite Jesus into his life. And he said YES! The story doesn't stop here.   God was taking us on a journey to release His presence and share His goodness in different places from the… Border of Uganda and Congo… Worship before evangelism Praying with this Muslim lady to accept Jesus.
